Did you know that survival outcomes for people with pancreatic cancer and stomach cancer are dismally low?
Only one in every ten people with pancreatic cancer, and three in every ten with stomach cancer, will be alive five years after their diagnosis.
This means, that in just five years' time, only 450 of the estimated 4,500 people who will be told they have pancreatic cancer this year will be alive, and only 750 of the estimated 2,500 people who will be diagnosed with stomach cancer this year will be alive.
During Stomach Cancer and Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, Can Too Foundation acknowledge the vital contributions made by its alum of nine stomach cancer and pancreatic cancer researchers. These researchers are striving to improve outcomes and extend the lives of people with stomach and pancreatic cancer.
Investing in cancer research and supporting researchers in the early phase of their careers is an integral part of the Can Too mission.
Help us continue to support early-career cancer researchers.
