Who can join?

Our programs are designed for individuals of all fitness levels, from complete beginners to seasoned athletes. If you're ready to commit to a training program, fundraise for cancer research, and be part of a supportive community, CanToo is for you!

How does it work?

You'll train twice per week under the guidance of qualified and experienced coaches, usually over a span of 10-20 weeks depending on the program. During this time, you'll not only be getting physically ready to conquer your goal event but also fundraising to support vital cancer research. Our structured programs ensure you receive professional training while making a meaningful impact.

How can I suggest a new training location?

If you have a suggestion for a new training location, please contact us at info@cantoo.org.au. Include the proposed location and any details that would help us evaluate the feasibility of establishing a new training pod there. Your suggestions help us grow and make our programs more accessible to everyone.

What types of events can I train for with CanToo?

We offer training programs for a variety of events, including running events like marathons and half-marathons, as well as ocean swimming events. Check our website for the latest programs and event options available.

Is there a fundraising requirement?

Yes, all participants are required to fundraise as part of their commitment to the program. The funds raised go toward supporting early-career cancer research. We'll provide you with resources and support to help you reach your fundraising goal.

What if I have no prior experience in running or swimming?

No problem! We have programs designed to accommodate all fitness levels. For our ocean swim programs, you'll need to know how to swim in a pool as a prerequisite. Our experienced coaches will guide you through each step of the training process, ensuring you build your fitness and confidence gradually.

What do I need to bring to training sessions?

You'll need comfortable workout attire, appropriate footwear, a water bottle, and a positive attitude! For swim training, don't forget your swimsuit, swim cap, goggles, towel and sunscreen for beach sessions.

What kind of support will I receive during the program?

You'll have access to professional coaching, a supportive community of fellow participants, and a wealth of resources to aid your training and fundraising efforts. Our team is here to help you every step of the way.

Can I join with a friend or a group?

Absolutely! Training with friends or family can enhance your experience and provide additional motivation. Each participant will need to register individually, but you can train together and support each other's fundraising efforts.
