My target 40 kms

Boronia 2100m

Swam to Boronia from the surf club with Ben, Shirin and Baz yesterday morning - 2100m. Conditions were good, water is a bit murky once you get away from the beach. Pace around 2:30/100 so pretty happy.

Lots of Swimming!

Swam from Boronia Beach to Blackmans Bay with Ben and Shiring on Friday morning, lovely smooth clear water and first outing for my new wetsuit.
Saturday morning was a relaxing swim at Kingston Beach and today we swam to Boronia from Kingston in the morning and then did body surfing at Kingston in the afternoon.
Alternating sunshine and pouring rain all day.

Grey day at Kingston Beach

Grey and drizzling for my Saturday morning swim. The water was nice and clear mostly, a bit of murk coming from Browns river at that end of the beach. Saw a few skates and flathead.
Did a relaxed 800m from the surf club to Browns river and back.

More Pool Training!

Another night at Clarence Pool with Joe and Bec. Lots of new drills, just about drowns me until I get the hang of the new drill.

Training at KB

Friday was a beautiful day, swam from Boronia to KB, about 900m. Bit of a rest day yesterday, today back into it with a group training session at KB. Bit of chop kicked up by the sea breeze made it difficult but we totalled about 1km.

Kingston Beach again

lovely morning for a swim at Kingston with Ben and Shirin this morning. Did a fairly relaxed 800m, lots of moon jellyfish further out though.

Raine and Horne Kingston Beach 500m

Entered the R&H 500m swim at Kingston Beach. Beautiful day. As always the actual distance wasn't quite as advertised...something like 900m for the 500m and 2300 for the 1500! Went round in 25.03 for the 900 so pretty happy with that. Felt relaxed and comfortable and had no dramas with sighting, so no extra distance swum!

Just keep swimming...

Swam 1200 at Kingston Beach yesterday, felt pretty good. A gentle 400 this morning before my regular Saturday morning 'bob around and chat' with Tasmen and off to Boho for a hot drink

Pool Training

Busy night at Clarence pool doing Drills and working on our technique.

Beautiful Morning

Lovely flat morning at Kingston Beach with Ben and Shirin. Did 800m, water warm and clear. Nice relaxed swim but feeling a bit tired!

First Ocean Swim

A gentle 400m at Kingston Beach with Ben

I'm supporting cancer research and prevention with Can Too Foundation.

1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. This means that potentially someone we love may have to battle cancer, and that's a statistic that needs to change.

So I asked myself, "what can I do to help?" That's where the Can Too Foundation came in! Can Too provides professionally coached training programs for participants of any fitness level to run, swim and cycle their way to a healthier lifestyle and a cancer-free world.

In return, I am raising valuable funds that go towards innovation in the prevention, care, and control of cancer. Since 2005, Can Too Foundation has trained over 22,000 participants and raised over $30,000,000 to invest in over 150 cancer research grants.

It would be fantastic if you could sponsor me, or even better join me in a program!

Thank you for your support!
