Recently I was sidelined from regular exercise for a couple of weeks and it highlighted to me just how much I need my fix! I started to feel less energised, my mood was not as positive and I found each day that little bit less enjoyable.
As the research continues to show, our mental health is one of the real winners when it comes to regular exercise and once again the evidence is overwhelming that for so many reasons being a part of Can Too and training regularly does a whole lot more than just allowing a guilt free glass of wine! The cooler months are a perfect time to keep moving and beat the winter blues. With Can Too programs starting soon for Marathon, Half- Marathon and 10km distances for Blackmores Sydney Running Festival and Melbourne Marathon Festival there’s plenty on offer!
Next Friday 5 May sees the Art of Wine, our first gala fundraising event, held in Sydney. There is an online auction with some amazing donated prizes with ALL proceeds going to Can Too. This event and auction is key to raising funds so we can continue to provide our health promotion programs and importantly raise funds for cancer research. The Can Too Foundation receives no government funding and as such relies on the support of our Partners and Centurions to ensure we can continue to improve the physical and mental health of more than 1,600 people per year and direct fundraising to cancer research.
