With wine recommendations from Rob Geddes.
Can’t join us on the night at the Can Too Art of Wine gala fundraising event?
Bid on the silent auction items from home, and host a dinner with a few of your favourite friends and combine these wines that have been recommended by the Can Too Art of Wine, Master of Wine and author of the gold book Rob Geddes.
Look out for Rob’s tips on temperatures to serve these wines.
Get your party started with Arras NV sparkling. It used to be that nothing had the bounce of champagne but Arras has changed that. This a dry crisp bubblicious sparkling with a fine dry length. Polish up your best glasses and serve well chilled. Better have a spare bottle as this is the stuff of dreams.
Better yet – check in on the Silent Auction and see what’s happening with your bid or how much has been raised.
Moving on, the Shaw + Smith Adelaide Hills Chardonnay 2015 offers a perfect balance of Chardonnay fruit and modern winemakers. Don't serve too cold as Chardonnay can be best tasted at temperatures closer to red wine.
Can Too are hoping to raise $100,000 during this event to fund 10 training pods and you can be part of it too no matter where you are!
A bottle of Barossa red wine is being opened at the rate of one a minute in China. What do they know that we have forgotten? Simply curl up with a Barossa blend to get the best value. Hewitson Miss Harry is a widely available blend of old-vine Grenache Shiraz and Mourvedre. It's rich fruit driven style captures the essence of the Barossa. Ripe and spicy with a touch of earthiness it is great drinking now.
