Annie Crawford AM
In Episode 10 of ‘From A to Me’, Annie Crawford AM, philanthropist, Chair, Executive Coach and Mentor delves into what makes a leader and the importance of giving back. In 2013, Annie was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) and inducted into the Business Women’s Hall of Fame.
Originally a social worker, working in community mental health and sexual assault, Annie moved into human resources before helping to set up a biotechnology start-up in San Francisco, California.
Having lost her father to cancer at 51, Annie knows first-hand the devastating impact that cancer can have on an individual and their family. Returning to Australia in 2003, Annie combined her passion for running and fitness with raising money for a non-profit organisation. Five months later the idea for Can Too was born. The organisation has since raised $20 million to fund cancer research.
With feminism a driving force throughout her life, Annie reflects on her leadership journey, and the ability for everybody to unlock and harness their leadership potential.
